Excerpts of Musical Work
I create works in a range of styles, suitable for a broad range of media, please find some examples below:
Interactive Audio Demo
Music composition designed for interactivity
As a lifelong musician and fan of video games, I seek to draw on my knowledge from both creative practices to create interactive and evocative scores that explore the potential of professionally produced music with the potential that non-linear formats like games can provide.
Check out an interactive demo featuring my music below, which I created in Unity, FMOD, & Reaper at my studio in Bristol
Use your mouse to drag the circle between the different zones - hear how it effects the music.
Zone colours correspond with the gameplay state in an imagined playthrough (green = safety, blue = mystery,
orange = jeopardy, red = action/danger)
The music for green and orange contains multiple variations that will replace layers randomly, as an example of non-linear arrangements that create variation to avoid sounding repetitive.
Moving left in the green and blue zones will introduce layers dynamically, dependent on the the position of the cursor, mirroring dynamic scoring where the tracks can evolve musically in response to context from the game.

Composing is a multi step process, from inception, to production, to integration and finalisation of assets ready to
ship.
My knowledge in interactive audio design, utilising Wwise, FMOD, Unity, Unreal, Max 9, Puredata, and Supercollider, combined with my professional experience writing music for a broad range of traditional and interactive media across many genres and creative fields, and work mixing and mastering, allows me to handle every aspect of this process, from design, to production, to integration.
My studio is equipped for almost every task in the process of creating music, and if there are requirements above and beyond this I am well situated within my network in Bristol to find orchestrators, recording studios, live musicians and vocalists for any potential project requirement.
